17 Weeks
Turnip
This week I started to feel some real kicking!! Shaun even got to feel the baby moving :) It's so exciting when you can start feeling your little peanut move everyday!! I've had a bad cold this week :( Shaunie gave it to me after her doctors appointment. Hopefully it passes quickly :)
Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — its lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and it's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. The baby can move its joints, and its sweat glands are starting to develop.
